I view therapy as a “two-way street” of learning, a process that allows you, as the client, to teach me about your life situations. In turn, as your therapist, I will help equip you with the knowledge and understanding about your relationship interactions. It is my overarching goal to help clients have healthier relationship interactions and enjoy better psychological functioning. I have worked with a wide variety of individuals, families, and couples from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. I have experience working with individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, and anger management issues. However, my training and experience provides me with the ability to work with a variety of problems and issues. As a Christian counselor, I view therapy through the lenses of a Christian life. I encourage my clients to discuss how their current struggle or situation is affecting their spiritual life. Thus, allowing for a more holistic change and deeper growth for the client. I will never force my spiritual beliefs upon my clients and will always treat with respect the personal beliefs of my cliental. I specialize with adolescent and teen issues. As a marital and family therapist, I am able to assist adolescents and families who are in conflict, dealing with life transitions or divorce situations. My training and experience help me to assist couples who are |
dealing with marital problems, family hostilities and other relational problems. I always attempt to work with the whole family when possible or with both individuals, if it is a couple. My education includes a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University in Abilene Texas. While in Texas, I also received my certificate in conflict resolution. In addition, I received my bachelor degree from Harding University in Youth and Family Ministry. I am also a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy as well as The Association for Conflict Resolution. If you feel that I can be of assistance to you or your family, please do not hesitate to contact the office. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. I look forward to discussing how I can walk along side you to assist you and your family in your current situation. |
