As a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider I am
blessed to work with a very diverse population. Along with an extensive
practice in individual therapy; I also have experience with couples and family
therapy. I treat adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients for a variety of issues
which include: long-term mental illness, trauma, grief, sexual identity issues,
family and relational issues, chronic illness and hurts from the past.
With a specialty in abuse recovery, I work extensively with survivors of
childhood sexual, emotional and physical abuse and battered adults. My work
with adolescents includes a combination of individual and family approaches
designed to restore and improve healthy communication and relationship
within the family structure, as well as, life coach and goal setting. My work with
families includes blended family issues, divorce recovery for each member of
the family and relationship training. Also, I teach parenting skills and anger
management. In addition to my general work with the geriatric population
which includes both individuals and the family, I also perform specialized
treatment with regard to issues of aging such as, Alzheimer's disease
education, behavioral training and grief processing for the family.
I have adopted a holistic approach to treatment based on the Cognitive/Behavioral model that is proving beneficial to
my clients. It is my practice to design a personalized course of treatment in order to meet the specific needs of my clients
including a Christian approach to therapy. Each client is met in therapy with the hope and expectation for positive life
change. I look forward to meeting with you and hopefully help you achieve your life goals.
